About the Award

The Beyond Tomorrow Scholar Award is offered annually and supports Scholars with funding up to $20,000/year entering an undergraduate degree.

Eligibility Requirements:

To become a Scholar, you must:

• Self-identify as Black (African, African-American, African-Canadian, Afro-Caribbean)
• Enter directly from high school or transfer from another post-secondary institution
• Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or protected person in Canada
• Be a strong academic student and meet all UBC admissions requirements
• Demonstrate financial need
• Apply to a direct-entry undergraduate program at UBC, and not have a previous degree
